Title: Mind Over Machine

This book describes many important developments in AI from an analytical, historical perspective. I like this book because the authors are not at all shy about digging deep into Socrates, Liebniz, Nietzsche and others. At the same time, they give due credit to Newel, Simon, Minsky, Winograd and others. This book is already getting old, but good research and writing survive the test of time.
