20 Mar linear discrimination

A process of classification or recognition used in neural network processing. By passing input into a trained linear feed-forward network, both discrimination and learning processes of the human brain can be simulated. The success of linear discrimination as a processing mechanism has fed the connectionist movement and lead to the development many robust models of human cognition.
