You want to get specific data in and out of RDF? You want to sparkle! If you dislike acronyms, here’s one to make a patient person squirm. It’s recursive: SPARQL Protocol and RDF Query Language. SPARQL was made a standard by the RDF Data Access Working Group (DAWG) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and is recognized as one of the key technologies of the semantic web. Similar to the way Structured Query Language (SQL or sequel) is used to get specific data in and out of relational databases, SPARQL is used for RDF data, often stored as “subject-predicate-object” triples in Graph Databases.
