20 Mar dualism

A school of thought that suggests a distinction between the mind and the brain. This may be a relevant question if the mechanism of consciousness includes organs beyond the cortex. One argument of proponents is that the sense of self associated with perception and cognition may be something that either is not or cannot be contained in the brain alone.
