10 Mar constraint

C-ClampA factor that affects or limits a decision or outcome. In decision making (particularly automated), it is important to limit the problem space to a manageable number of questions whose answers influence the final outcome. However, missing important constraints in evaluating a problem can lead to skewed or incorrect or unsuitable outcomes. Constraint-based reasoning attempts to prioritize the answers to all the pertinent questions and, based on the weighted sum, arrive at a decision.
