27 Mar synaptic vesicle

An organelle in neurons that is a spherical container for neurotransmitter chemicals. These are synthesized in the soma and transferred by microtubules to the synapses where they can discharge their contents across the membranes into the synaptic cleft where they can affect the flow of E/I impulses.
