Aristotle has lost some of his audience share lately, but for no good reason. Okay, so many of the ideas he presents are totally naive. Many others, however, are still valid. Some of his ideas even represent one viewpoint of issues that are still hotly debated. Two aspects of his perspective make his ideas especially useful to the serious student of cognition: they are not clouded by modern science, and they were based on extremely scientific empirical observation.
