These guys attack the problem of teaching us about expert systems with an envelopment: in one prong of the attack, they tell us what expert systems are about; in the other, they show us the deep and dark secrets of an existing expert system that works (CLIPS). This approach is good for programmers who are very empirically oriented (and that’s most of us!).
