A deep connection exists between this analysis of human-language processing and the “Logic Programming” method embodied in the Prolog programming language. Horn clauses are the logical foundation of Prolog, and they correspond to definite clause grammar (DCG). If Prolog is a good model for computing and DCG is a good model for language, then we should be able to implement a good language interpreter in PROLOG.
